Preparation

  1. Preheat the Oven:

    • Set your oven to 400°F (204°C).

  2. Prepare the Rutabagas:

    • Peel the rutabagas.

    • Slice them into circles, approximately 1/4-inch thick.

    • Stack the circles and slice them into sticks, also about 1/4-inch wide.

  3. Toss with Seasonings:

    • In a large bowl, toss the rutabaga sticks with the following ingredients:

      • Avocado oil

      • Sea salt

      • Black pepper

  4. Arrange on an Oven-Safe Rack:

    • Place an oven-safe rack onto a large baking sheet.

    • Arrange the seasoned rutabaga fries in a single layer on the rack.

  5. Bake until Crispy:

    • Bake for approximately 35-45 minutes, until the fries are soft on the inside and crispy on the outside.


Serving size: ~10 fries, or 1/8 of entire recipe
